There has been major changes to counselor assignments as Mr. Cohen is no longer at LaG, please check who is your counselor here.

Ms. Blum is on leave, and Ms. Persaud is now our post-secondary counselor. Ms. Persaud can be found in room 323D from 7:30-2:45 and will support all families who desire post-secondary preparation support.

Some 9th grade students may not have a counselor at this time. For the time being, 9th grade students who need help can meet with ANY guidance counselor, or Ms. Roach in room 234J. Please check if you already have a counselor assigned here.

Monday 9/23: Dress as an emotion day

Tuesday 9/24: Dress as your favorite teacher

Wednesday 9/25: Affirmation day - sticky notes will be handed out to write affirmations

Thursday 9/26: Dress for beach day

Friday 9/27: Wear your coolest band/muiscal artist shirt

Open lunch for grades 10, 11, and 12 has begun. A signed open lunch consent form is required to leave the building for lunch. Pick up a consent form outside Room 229, or you may print the consent form. Submit a signed consent form to room 229 and allow one school day for processing before going out.

Open Lunch Expectations

• You should re-enter LaGuardia at least 5 minutes before the start of the following class period - remember to account for potential delays in re-entering the building.

• You should arrive to your following class period on time.

• Students are expected to remain in the general neighborhood. Staying within a few blocks of LaGuardia will ensure a safe return to the building.

• Students are expected to exercise sound judgment while off-campus, behaving respectfully in the neighborhood and representing LaGuardia positively.

• Open Lunch is a privilege that can be revoked if guidelines are not followed, or you put yourself in unsafe situations.
